I hadn’t had an iced coffee in years. Not long ago, I stole a sip from a friend of mine and couldn’t get over how cloyingly sweet it was. Way sweeter than I remembered it being back when I used to drink them as a teen. But I guess that isn’t surprising, given the amount of sugar the average iced frap packs. In today’s video, you’ll see just how much sugar that is, along with a recipe for an iced mocha smoothie, as a healthier, more balanced and naturally sweeter alternative to your commercially chilled brew.
Iced Mocha Smoothie
Ingredients

3/4 cup almond milk

3 dates
-
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt

2 teaspoons raw cacao
-
1/4 cup brewed coffee, chilled

1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

4 ice cubes
Method

In a blender, combine all ingredients except ice and blend until smooth.

Add ice, pulse and serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sip away!
