Seven.
Is the number of days until The Healthful Home Cook launch (cue happy dance).
Besides being consumed by last minute fixes and excitement, I’ve also spent the past few months geeking out over all things “online”.
Books, webinars, podcasts – you name it, I’ve soaked it up.
Along the way, there was one marketing strategy in particular that caught my attention. A principle that was very time and resource effective.
And since time and energy represent two major wellness walls with reference to modern day cooking, today’s video is all about taking a cue from the marketing world and applying this simple strategy to help you maximize your time in the kitchen.
Happy viewing and be sure to share your thoughts or comments below.
How will you apply this principle in the kitchen? What have you been geeking out over lately?
When cooking dinner for my husband and myself I cook enough for four people and we have it again a couple of nights later. Sometimes even the following night. We like leftovers and don’t mind eating the same meal more than once within a few days. Makes my life easier!
That’s a good one, Angela. Totally with you on the leftovers, especially if you skip a day in between, nothing wrong with enjoying the same meal more than once.
Great video, thank you for the tips!
A great tip I got from my mother-in-law:
When chopping parsley or cilantro, clean and chop everything and put in a container and freeze it.
When cooking again you can take a handful already cleaned and chopped.
Love this Katia! I need to get into the habit of doing this one myself, I tend to chop on the fly. Not always the most efficient way!
I love this!!
I think I could be better about this, but I do try to cook extra when I can. Also, when I am the kitchen chopping veggies for one recipes, I will often get others together since I already have the cutting board out. It definitely helps!
Thanks Kristen, that’s a really good one! Chopping-n-stopping can be time sucking.
I enjoyed your video and hope to practice the piggyback mindset so much that becomes ingrained in my daily life. I’m not much of a cook, but I’m ready to change that, so I’m looking forward to learning more about healthy home cooking. I’m already getting great tips from the other comments! I look forward to learning more.
You got it! It takes practice but is so worth it once you get the hang of it. Glad to know you’re on board for some healthful home cooking, will see you soon then!
